CHANGES TO FACE COVERING POLICIES: As new COVID case rates in Michigan have increased tenfold since the last restrictions were removed in late June/early July, it is important that we are once again vigilant about masking, social distancing, and cleaning procedures. To prioritize the Kroc customer service keys of safety and relationships, and to limit the chances of having Kroc Krew members become ill or forced to quarantine, we will make the following changes to our policies effective Tuesday, September 7:
• Regardless of vaccination status, all Kroc Krew members will be REQUIRED to wear a face covering while in public parts of the building (not including offices, storage areas, outdoors, etc.) This does not apply to fitness instructors while teaching class or to on-duty aquatics staff.
• Signage will be posted to ENCOURAGE all members and guests to wear a face covering inside the building. (We will need to be prepared to change this to a REQUIREMENT if it is mandated by state/local officials or conditions otherwise warrant.)
As always, please do not report for work if you have COVID-19 symptoms or have a recent close contact with someone who has tested positive. Please speak with your supervisor or Kristin Hoin if you have any questions about COVID-19 policies for employees related to testing, contact tracing, or other COVID concerns.
LABOR DAY CLOSURE: Please keep in mind that the entire Kroc Center will be CLOSED on Monday, September 6 in observance of Labor Day.
MAINTENANCE WRAP-UP: The Aquatics Center and Locker Rooms will reopen to members on schedule this Tuesday, September 7. One project that is still being finished up involves new countertops in the Art Room; it is important that they are not touched until the cement can be properly sealed in the next week – thanks for your cooperation in avoiding this area until the work is done.
NEW FITNESS EQUIPMENT: A number of new fitness machines will be delivered to the Kroc Center later this week, including treadmills, upright and recumbent bikes, stair climbers, and rowers. This equipment integrates with a new custom mobile app called myKroc Wellness, which we will launch officially in a few weeks. Please watch for more information as we work together to share these exciting new opportunities with our members.
REMINDERS OF THE WEEK: Here are some of the topics you can expect to be covered at daily morning and afternoon huddle meetings…
- CUSTOMER SERVICE FOCUS: KEY #3: Efficiency – We strive to be attentive, considerate, and responsive to the needs of our guests.
