Don’t forget that you are always welcome to attend devotions on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am in the Administration Foyer; if you have a prayer request to share, you can post it on the board in the lobby, use the online form, or contact a member of the Kroc Church team.

Each week, we feature a “Note from the Pastor” and Bible verse from Captain Jack Huffman and the Kroc Church team. If you ever want to hear more about these topics, join us for Kroc Church Sunday mornings at 10am.
The Time Is Now – John 12:1-8
When we think about all that we hold dear to our hearts in this world we can easily get lost in why we chose to keep items, relationships, valuables, money etc. clinched so tightly in our fists and wrapped up so deeply in our hearts. It is not uncommon for man to place their own value and self-worth in objects and the things of this world, it is tangible and within our reach making it comforting to us in our daily lives.
The value we place on these objects are decided on what we believe they are worth and what they mean to us, the reality is however, that none of it is ours and it is all only temporary. All we have in this world is given to us by the grace of God. When we place our own value on what God has freely given us it diminishes it Heavenly value and worth. We see how Mary had in mind using her worldly possessions to honor Jesus at the dinner table and the opposition that Judas had in her use of the perfume.
Mary knew that the time was now to anoint Jesus and use the best she had to accomplish the task. Judas placed an earthly value on the perfume and only had in mind what cost they could have received from the perfume. When we realize the true value in what God has blessed us with it can open a new world of possibilities. Remember the time is now to give the best of all you have back to the Father because we never know when the opportunity will be gone.
