Each week, members of the Kroc Center and Kroc Church submit a number of requests for prayer. We welcome these from everyone in our community, and encourage all our Kroc Krew to lift up these requests in your own way. Don’t forget that you are always welcome to attend devotions on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am in the Administration Foyer; if you have a prayer request to share, you can post it on the board in the lobby, use the online form, or contact a member of the Kroc Church team.

  • Prayers for healing and recovery for the various staff who are undergoing and recovering from health procedures and surgeries.

Each week, we feature a “Note from the Pastor” and Bible verse from Captain Jack Huffman and the Kroc Church team. If you ever want to hear more about these topics, join us for Kroc Church Sunday mornings at 10am.

Greetings Family,

As times change and seasons come and go, I am reminded of God’s goodness in and over our lives. As the world continues to fall deeper into chaos it becomes more evident that the world needs Jesus. It is an amazing thought to contemplate that the creator of the universe would care so much about a fallen people who no matter how far they fall, is waiting to meet them right where they land. As summer heats up and the days get longer people become more energetic and spend more time indulging in the activates that summer has to offer. They hit the beach, go on vacations, participate in summertime sports, go hiking, biking, go to outdoor concerts, picnics and so much more.

People spend as much time as they can with family while the children are out of school and returning home from college. They spend as much time as possible working in the yard and maintaining the pool, hosting BBQ’s, and going to see their favorite sports team, they clean out the garage and plant flowers. Life is exciting during summer, and we are anxious to do things that we are unable to during the long cold winter months. We want to do all we can for as long as we can hoping that the beautiful weather will last just one day longer knowing full well that the time will come when fall begins and the beauty and excitement of summer will fade away once again into the long cold dark winter days leaving us longing for the beauty of summer in the next year.

Although we can be certain that summer will inevitably come back next year and we can all go back out and enjoy it, there is one thing that we should look forward to more than next year’s beautiful summer and that is our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Because we are a fallen people living in a world of chaos it is more important now than ever to know Jesus. The same zeal and passion we put into our love for summer should be the same passion and love we have for Christ yet infinitely multiplied.

Today we encourage you to prioritize your days and place Christ first. Make room for Jesus in your life because without Him nothing else matters. Although Jesus will meet you where you are at in the chaos of life, He won’t leave you there when you surrender to Him. This summer slow down a bit and come to the realization that even though summer will return, it could be that you may not see it, and if you do not see it without knowing Christ first your summers may just be eternally hotter than any summer you ever experienced while on Earth.

At Kroc Church we love you and want to see you enjoy life while experiencing it with Jesus Christ at the center of it all. Come and join us as we look to Love God, Love Others, and serve the world.

In Christ’s Love,

Major Carol and Captain Jack Huffman
