✝️ Note from the Pastor
Psalm 1 – The Fork In The Road
As we traverse the road in our walk with Jesus Christ, not only will there be stumbling blocks, barriers, and trials and tribulations along the way, it was also a promise that Jesus made in John 16:33:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (NIV)
Because Jesus has overcome the world, we can too.
However, for us to overcome the world we must be willing to make the right decisions when we come to the fork in the road. There will inevitably come times in life when we are faced with making decisions that can either keep us in God’s graces or leave us exposed and vulnerable to the world. It is up to us which way we will take and what we are compelled to do when those times come.
The Bible makes it quite clear in Psalm 1:6:
“For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.” (NIV)
Today I want to encourage you that when you come to the fork in the road, follow Jesus and set yourself apart from the world. If you do, you will not only prosper but live a fruitful life—one that is pleasing to the Father.
