HAPPY NEW YEAR!
1️⃣ This Week’s Highlights
The busy season is officially upon us. As we see an influx of visitors and members at the Kroc Center, please keep our four Kroc Center Key Values front and center:
Safety: Keep an eye out for suspicious activity. Freshen up on our radio codes—ask your supervisor if you need a new copy.
Relationships: Remember we’re serving people who deserve respect and care.
Efficiency: Move guests along as quickly as possible without losing sight of relationships.
Appearance: We have a beautiful building—let’s keep it that way. Pick up trash if you see it, or call Facilities if something needs attention. Appearance also includes following the dress code.

🙌 Missional Moment
In the Salvation Army’s earliest days, William Booth noticed that many of the poor and marginalized weren’t welcomed—or didn’t feel safe—in traditional churches. So the Army made room: they went to the streets, opened their gatherings wide, and treated outsiders like neighbors before they had the “right” beliefs or behavior. Many people found faith because they first found welcome, dignity, and community.
We don’t lower the truth—we widen the welcome.
That’s the Salvation Army impulse: make room first—then trust Christ to form what comes next.
✝️ Note from the Pastor
Belonging and Beyond
As we step into the New Year and begin the next chapter of our lives together, we at Kroc Church want you to know that you are not alone. We want you to know that here, you can belong before you believe.
We want you to know that we will meet you where you are at and walk the path of life with you. We want you to know that you are loved and seen. We hear you and want to be a part of what God has in store for you in the coming year.
In 2026 we will be placing our focus on becoming a people formed by Christ for the sake of others—loved, valued, accepted. As we reflect on the words of our monthly scripture found in Isaiah 43:18–19: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
This year let’s try something new, leave the things of the past year behind, and look ahead to what God has in store for you.
