✝️ Note from the Pastor
When I first heard these words as a young person—that I must deny myself, pick up my cross, and follow Christ—I wasn’t quite sure what to make of them. I wanted to follow Jesus, but I also had my own plans and ideas for how my life should unfold. I wasn’t eager to give those plans up.
It wasn’t until a Youth for Christ revival weekend that the “light bulb” came on. I began to understand that Jesus wasn’t asking me to abandon purpose, but to reorder it—to choose faithfulness to Christ over comfort, and obedience over self‑interest, each day. Following Jesus is not a one‑time decision, but a daily, conscious choice to walk in His way.
