First 5 – End of 2019 Edition!

Holiday schedule reminders: The Kroc Center will have an early closing at 2PM on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and be closed all day on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Recreation areas like the pool, climbing wall, and game room will have special hours during Christmas Break for families — see the front of the Drop-In Rec Guide for all the details.

December Membership Promotion: Our December membership special continues through the end of the month. Here’s how it works: Anyone starting a new Kroc membership in December only needs to pay the one-time registration fee ($50 for an adult or family membership), and their monthly payments won’t begin until January 20, 2020. It’s like getting all of December and January at no cost! Visit the Welcome Desk for more information.

January – $0 Registration Fee: Once the calendar flips over to 2020, we’ll be promoting a more typical membership offer… $0 registration fee on new memberships. We always get a lot of new people in the building during this time, so make sure to wear a smile – there’s never a second chance to make a first impression!

Kroc Fitness Bingo: We have an exciting new fitness competition starting January 2! Studies show that people who participate in group exercise remain members for longer periods of time. Kroc Fitness Bingo will give members a chance to win an Apple Watch, Air Pods, Amazon gift cards, and more, just by taking our drop-in fitness classes. Visit the Fitness Desk for more information.

Children’s Ministry Coordinator: From Capt. Bill… “We are very pleased to announce a change of position for Patrice Franks as she is now our full time Children’s Ministry Coordinator. We feel very fortunate to have Patrice in this role as she comes with great experience and talent. Patrice has worked at the Kroc Center for 9 years in different roles from Day Camp Counselor to Pool Supervisor. Patrice has also worked for Kentwood Public Schools for six years as a Para Professional for the emotionally impaired. Her main concentrations in this role will be overseeing our day camp program, instruct youth staff/volunteer trainings, develop programming for Sunday School and Junior Church, and will assist with MUM, After School Program, Kids Hope USA, and Girls on the Run. This position reports to Kayla Welch. Patrice will start her new role on December 23rd, 2019. Please pray and congratulate Patrice on her new opportunity! If you have any questions please let me know.”
