Registration is going on now for Fall 2 programs. This will be the last chance for members to take advantage of $5 fine arts classes! Even though the registration deadline isn’t until October 30, one class (Open Clay Studio for Adults) is already full! The October 12 Paint Date is full as well. The moral of the story is: encourage people to sign up soon before space runs out!
Monster Mash is coming! Registrations are rolling in for groups to hand out candy and information at this year’s Monster Mash on Friday, October 26. We already have more than a dozen outside groups signed up, not counting Kroc Center departments and the other Salvation Army units and groups that take part. If you know of an organization who might like an easy way to connect with a lot of people in a short time, information and forms are available at the Welcome Desk.
Coat Distribution November 3: Molina Healthcare of Michigan is holding a coat drive distribution event at the Kroc Center on Saturday, November 3. This will be a very large event, with more than 1,000 coats being provided to families in the Grand Rapids area, including many with connections to the Kroc Center. All exempt staff will be expected to work this event from 9AM to 3PM. If you would like to donate a new coat, there will be a collection box in the Kroc lobby starting this week.
Save the Date: On Saturday, November 10, the Kroc Center will be hosting The Salvation Army’s Chicago Staff Band for an evening concert. Tickets are free, please see Capt. Bill or Capt. Taylor if you would like to attend.
Events & Rentals: Heather Morrison is now out of the office on maternity leave until December. Please see Brent Wilcoxson with any questions about rental sales and operations. We hope to have news to share on Baby Girl soon!
Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests! Here are some examples from this week:
