January 2-5 from 9am to 4pm (with extended care availble from 7:30am to 9am & 4pm to 6pm)
Pricing is $15 dollars a day for Camp Kroc with Extended Care. To register, please contact Jessica Pollins with the dates that you plan to register for, and if you would like to enroll in Extended Care. Once you are registered for camp, payment must be made prior to the first date of your camp. No spots can be held for staff children if payment has not been made. This special offer is only eligible for immediate family members only.
Campers can expect to participate in fun & interactive Bible lessons, play holiday-themed games, swim, sled, and so much more! Please contact Jessica if you have any questions!
Parking Complaints: Growing snow piles in our parking areas tend to take up available spots; drivers also tend to have a difficult time seeing lines, which can also cause issues in the lots. Add that to increasing traffic in the winter, and we get members and guests who get frustrated with parking.
If you get complaints, listen politely and empathize: “We know it’s frustrating when it takes extra time to find a parking spot. The Kroc Center gets much busier in the winter, and all the snow doesn’t help.”
Make sure guests know about the parking on the side and in back of the building, as well as the availability of the Silver Line, which stops directly in front of the Kroc Center. In most cases, people understand that we can’t magically create additional parking, they just want to vent. If guests are argumentative or otherwise cause problems, please refer them to the MOD or a director.
The First 5 will be delayed during the holidays; instead of getting the New Year edition on Friday the 29th, it will come out on Tuesday, January 2. Merry Christmas from RJ Kroc!
Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests! Here are examples from this week. Everybody appears to be on their “A” game heading into the New Year – keep it up!
- “Big shout out to Dan, Heather, Katelyn, and Brent who all worked really hard in flipping the building for Sunday after the Packaging Corps’ Christmas party. It was huge undertaking and a big mess!”
- “Bernard and Chuck were fantastic with the men in the gym. Before they all started their games at noon, Bernard went into a time of prayer!”
- “Laura Delgado gets kudos for registering new members. She patiently answered questions in Spanish, and the new members were very happy.”
- “Elissa Springborn and Rachel Tuit went above and beyond call of duty. Facilities was needing more hands to flip the WPAC from Dance recital ending by 7:30 to Senior lunch and learn. With Events, Facilities, and Pool people it was done in no time.”
- “Harmony in the game room noticed a mom had left a couple under age kids in game room alone. She located the mom and rectified the oversight.”
