Please email Julie Taggart (julie_taggart@usc.salvationarmy.org) if you would like to enter a chili.
Meetup Mondays are back! Each Monday through March 26, Church at the Kroc will once again host Meetup Mondays! Enjoy a family-style dinner for $3 per person from 5-6pm, then participate in group activities from 6-7pm. No need to sign up, just come as you are.
Please speak with Lts. Brutto, Dan Leisher, or any member of the Congregational Life team if you have any questions.
Daddy Daughter Date Night is fast approaching. This year’s event is Saturday, February 3 from 4 to 6 pm. Tickets are $15 per person and include dinner and all activities. It’s a great event for girls ages 3-12 with their father or other special adult. Registration deadline is January 31.
Reminder: Monday, January 15th is a Salvation Army holiday for administrative staff. While many kids are out of school, we will NOT have extended recreation hours, as some large districts, including Wyoming and Kentwood, still have a full- or half-day of classes. Our normal Monday programming will be running as scheduled.
Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests! Here are some examples from this week:
- From a birthday party: “Katelyn was so awesome! I want Heather and the management team to know she catered to us very well and checked on us every 30 minutes or so, she rocks!”
- “I would like Kiri DeYoung to get some applause for handling a pool shutdown Sunday with great good cheer, and especially for typing in over 80 day passes by herself the next morning… Cheers to Amy Seif, too, who worked that day and kept her patience and her smile. What a great team!”
- “Eddie is amazing. Mike did a great job getting [the pool] back up and Eddie came in on his day off again!”
- “Gavin helped close the fitness floor after his class when a coworker had to go home sick. Wynter and Kiri also offered to cover fitness until Gavin got out.”
