Family Pool & Play Pass: This is becoming popular with Christmas Break guests… please continue to push it to day pass purchasers!
The Family Pool & Play Pass provides a family of up to 5 people day pass access to the Kroc Center on Saturdays and Sundays, along with the weeks of Christmas Break and Spring Break, for a full year. The price is $99.
We know that families who live a bit farther away from the Kroc Center (more than a ~15 minute drive) aren’t able to visit frequently enough for them to justify a full membership; this offer provides an option for them to use the Kroc more often without a monthly payment. Statistically, most of these families only visit once or twice a year (a lot of them only during Spring Break), so this allows us to engage with them more so they will, hopefully, be more likely to enroll in programs, etc.
If you have any questions, contact Jon Shaner.
Meetup Mondays are back! Each Monday from January 8 to March 26, Church at the Kroc will once again host Meetup Mondays! Enjoy a family-style dinner for $3 per person from 5-6pm, then participate in group activities from 6-7pm. No need to sign up, just come as you are.
Please speak with Lts. Brutto, Dan Leisher, or any member of the Congregational Life team if you have any questions.
Daddy Daughter Date Night is fast approaching. This year’s event is Saturday, February 3 from 4 to 6 pm. Tickets are $15 per person and include dinner and all activities. It’s a great event for girls ages 3-12 with their father or other special adult. Registration deadline is January 31.
Over the past year or so, we have allowed Health Motion Physical Therapy to provide free screenings for members and guests at the Kroc Center roughly once a month. Check out this email that shows what great things can happen when we collaborate with other local organizations (and extra credit to Jessica Pollins for writing a great devotion in the Senior Flyer too!):
“Dear Jessica,
I enjoyed your January devotional on Jeremiah. You are correct, the Lord does provide in His time and in His way.
Let me share with you a little story that involves the Kroc Center. I am a 68 year old male with low back issues who walks with a cane. One Friday AM this past February I was sitting in the Senior Center after my workout drinking my “free” coffee and eating my little goodie. A lady at my table went to get the monthly newsletter—which I never read. In it I see that Health Motion was coming for free PT assessments at the Kroc. So I decided to go see them. I have had PT before but with only temporary result, but I thought I would see what they have to say. So after approximately 10 weeks of therapy they refer me to a neurologist who in turn sent me to a neurosurgeon. I have surgery scheduled for early January and the surgeon thinks there is a 75 % chance that I will be able to walk without my cane when my recovery is complete.
The Lord orchestrates things in ways that we could never figure out, that is what makes Him God.
Keep up the good work!”
Some quick stats that reflect why the time around the New Year is so important to our membership:
- Our website traffic increased 102% over the previous week.
- We reached more than 12,000 people with our $0 registration offer on Facebook.
- Online requests for membership info in the past two weeks went up by more than 300%.
Right now, more people are searching for what we have to offer than any other time of year. We only get one chance to make a first impression – let’s make it count!
Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests! Here are examples from this week:
- ” Samantha and Laura were on top of all of rushes at the Welcome Desk.”
- “Heaven and Albert kept everyone safe in the gym while it was at capacity. Heaven in particular deserves recognition for preventing things from getting out of hand with a timely word to guests.”
- “Jessica Pollins and Abby McLemore worked together to prepare food for the day campers.”
- “Bernard spotted a teen on the suspension list who had entered under a different name. He handled the situation with sensitivity and professionalism.”
