Mother Son Date Night is this Saturday, March 3 from 4-6pm. There are still plenty of tickets available, so spread the word! Moms and boys will play games, eat a buffet dinner, and more. $15 per person – Deadline to register is Wednesday.
This month’s Safe from Harm focus is Restroom/Locker Room monitoring. We have many programs with minors of opposite sex that have access to family changing rooms or bathrooms. We need to assure we are doing our best to prevent any inappropriate behavior by being aware of minors and vulnerable adults entering these rooms unattended with someone of the opposite sex.
While it is not something we can fully monitor and prevent, we should all be alert and willing to address the situation when it arises. If you see this happening, please approach the individuals and explain that these rooms are meant to be used under the below circumstances:
– Alone
– With your children
– With a person who has a disability that you are caring for
– With your parent
Never accuse someone of inappropriate behavior, but simply advise them of or guidelines for restroom or locker room usage. If they argue, we can bring in a supervisor or MOD to discuss the concerns.
Our locations of family changing/restroom areas are:
-Green Room hallway
-Art Room Hallway
-Family changing locker rooms to pool
-Green Room
-Kitchen

The new fundraising initiative for The Salvation Army World Missions is up and running at the Welcome Desk. Employees, members, and guests will have the opportunity to put their name on a paper “globe” for $5. When you see names you recognize, please make the donors feel special by thanking them for their contribution.
Meetup Monday continues! Each Monday through March 26, Church at the Kroc is hosting Meetup Mondays! Enjoy a family-style dinner for $3 per person from 5-6pm, then participate in group activities from 6-7pm. No need to sign up, just come as you are. Please speak with Lts. Brutto, Dan Leisher, or any member of the Congregational Life team if you have any questions.
The Kroc Center is hosting the GRKids Summer Camps Fair on Sunday, March 18 from 1-5pm. This is shaping up to be a HUGE event – more than 700 tickets have been reserved already! We could use more Kroc Krew members to help us lead activities for kids in the gym during the event. If you are interested, please speak with your supervisor and then talk to Jon Shaner or Jessica Pollins.
Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests! Here are some examples from this week:
- “We had some basketball players coming in smelling of marijuana. Bernard had a heart to heart with everyone in the gym about the Kroc rules and the expectation he had of them, and then ended in prayer.”
- “There was a CO2 incident in the facilities office that Tony realized right away and called Mike; between Mike, Tony and Daniel it was taken care of. Great work guys!”
