New Event! Because we aren’t holding the Family Fun & Fitness Nights this summer, and because National Night Out is moving to Garfield Park, we’re going to be holding a one-night “Kroc Block Party” on Friday, August 16 from 5:30-8:30pm. Watch for more information coming soon!
Upcoming Kroc Krew events: Please mark Sunday, July 14 at 5 PM on your calendar for the Kroc Krew Summer Family Picnic. Information is posted in each department about this fun event. We’ll also be holding staff cookouts in the maintenance building on the following Thursdays this summer from 12-1 PM: June 20; July 18; and, August 15.
Email address changes: Be aware that all Salvation Army email addresses have been changed! Individuals who had an underscore between their first & last names, i.e. Jon_Shaner@usc.salvationarmy.org, now have a dot between the names: Jon.Shaner@usc.salvationarmy.org. Both addresses will work during a transition period, but we will be changing over things like business cards, printed materials, etc. over the next couple of months. Thanks for your help in notifying your contacts of the switch.
New Kroc Hats Available: We now have some very nice Kroc Center baseball caps for sale for members and staff at the Welcome Desk. They are $25 each (plus sales tax), and the net proceeds will go toward our Salvation Army World Services goal. Also, if you were wondering, this hat MAY be worn as part of your on-shift uniform (– but only THIS hat!)
Reminder: The Kroc Center is CLOSED on Thursday, July 4. We are open regular hours on Friday, July 5; however, the senior drop-in room will not be available.

- Davon Boone picking up the climbing wall shift after working day camp all day so we could still have it opened after the scheduled attendant had to call off.
- Heather Morrison and Nancy Keeth did a wonderful job with the Fathers Day Party.
- Albert Montiel went out of his way to help repair the soda fountain machine when it was malfunctioning Saturday.
