Zumba Party: This Saturday, July 20, we’ll have a Zumba Party open to the public from 11am to Noon in the Kroc amphitheater. This event is FREE for members and only $3 per person for non-members. Come join us!
Kroc Krew cookout: Don’t forget, we have another staff cookout in the maintenance building this Thursday from 12-1 PM. The last one for the summer will be on August 15.
Kroc Block Party! It’s time to break out the giant slip & slide for the public at our “Kroc Block Party” on Friday, August 16 from 5:30-8:30pm. Promotional information is available on the Events page at GrKrocCenter.org, or you can share the event from our Facebook page.
Walmart School Supply drive: Walmart stores around the country are helping The Salvation Army collect back-to-school supplies with a big event on Saturday, August 3. For the Kroc Center, this means a chance to provide supplies for our youth programming and help our friends at Brookside Elementary. You can help by sharing the online gift registry list or by volunteering for two hours at the Grandville Walmart on the day of the event. Please see Jon Shaner for more information.
Email address changes: Be aware that all Salvation Army email addresses have been changed! Individuals who had an underscore between their first & last names, i.e. Jon_Shaner@usc.salvationarmy.org, now have a dot between the names: Jon.Shaner@usc.salvationarmy.org. Both addresses will work during a transition period, but we will be changing over things like business cards, printed materials, etc. over the next couple of months. Thanks for your help in notifying your contacts of the switch.

- Thanks to Kristin Hoin and Ron McMillen for pitching in to run the slip & slide for a rental group last week!
- Samantha Clark was very kind in tracking down a Child Watch parent whose child needed a clean diaper but had not completed the diaper changing permission form. All while training a new game room attendant!
- Tabi helped cover the fitness desk when we realized there was no coverage. She even completed one of the headcounts.
