World Missions Campaign: From Captain Bill… “Each year, every Salvation Army location has the task of raising funds for world missions. I am seeking pledges from our staff of $60 for the year. That comes to $1.15 per week, in which you would be helping individuals in great need. I am especially proud of the mission work The Salvation Army does overseas, including efforts to provide clean water and shelter, and fighting human trafficking. If you are interested in donating, please email me or Melissa Roemer ASAP. If you have any questions, please let me know.”
Les Mills demo event: On Saturday, October 12 from 9:30-11:00am, we’ll be holding a members-only Les Mills combo class with multiple instructors. We’ll do BODYPUMP and CXWORX, then preview a couple of classes we might add in the near future. No registration is required, just show up!
Les Mills Kroc Krew Challenge! Only a couple of people are currently entered to win — your chances are really good if you get going now! Do you want a $50 Amazon gift card, or other prizes? Pick up a punch card at the Fitness Desk or Welcome Desk, and then take at least one session of BODYPUMP, CXWORX, Sprint, and a virtual class of your choice. See Cheryl Floyd or Bram Roberts with any questions.
Monster Mash is almost here! If you know of a community organization that would be interested in reaching 1,500-2,000 people in just a couple of hours, invite them to participate in the Monster Mash trunk-or-treat on Friday, October 25! Contact Julie Taggart or Jon Shaner for a participation form.
Other key dates & events: 10/22 – Fall 2 Early-Bird Deadline; 10/29 – RJ’s Mini Mash; 10/29 – Fall 2 Registration Deadline; 11/3 – Fall 2 Programs Begin
Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests! Here are some examples from the past week:
- “RJ’s After School Academy would like to thank Bob and Albert for all their help with the students on Friday, Sept 27th. Albert drove the van to pick up the Brookside kids because of bad weather. We also took 29 students swimming… Bob and Albert were a huge help in the locker-rooms with the boys.
Thank you to Jessica Viau and all her staff as well for letting them swim – from RJ’s kiddos!”
- “Jessica V and the facilities staff for the awesome job cleaning out the hot tub and refilling it and having it ready to go for the evening open swim! A little on the chilly side, but it was open!! You are all rock stars!”
