CAMP KROC UPDATE: Summer day camp registration will open Wednesday, March 17. Note that camp sign up is NOT handled through the Club Automation member portal or mobile app — we want to direct people to our website (GrKrocCenter.org) for links to the CampDoc system. The camp guide will be prominently placed on our website, and emailed out to past participants and all current member families with kids in the 5-12 age range. Printed copies will also be available at the Welcome Desk.
SPRING PROGRAMS: Spring session programs are filling up fast! As a reminder, we are asking that employees do NOT sign up for programs (whether for yourself or a family member), at least through the end of March when we will have a better sense of what classes will have remaining space. Currently, the programs with the most available spots are the Hustle Line Dance classes, adult art classes, and youth Athlete Performance Training.
COMMUNITY GARDENS: With spring in the air (at least for a couple of days!), now is the time to rent space in the Kroc Center’s community gardens. Each 8×16 foot plot has a raised bed and is watered regularly. Rental for the season is only $40 for members and $65 for non-members (plus a refundable $20 key deposit). Registration is available online or at the Welcome Desk – contact Chris Reinsma with any questions.
SAFETY REMINDER OF THE WEEK: Did you know we have a new Incident Report form? These forms are extremely important to complete anytime there is an injury or accident, or any other situation that may need to be documented to Salvation Army headquarters, our insurance company, police or other authorities. Please make sure you know when and how to complete an incident report in your department.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REMINDERS: This week in daily huddles and within our departments, we will be talking about customer service key #2 – RELATIONSHIPS. We strive to create productive, positive relationships with everyone we encounter, because it is essential to our mission and the business of the Kroc Center. Strong relationships lead to loyal customers. How can you develop these relationships in your department?
Captains Bill & Taylor will be away from the Kroc Center for the next two weeks. Please pray for safe travels for their family!
CORE VALUE OF THE WEEK: We value a Kroc Krew that is committed, caring and engaged. The Kroc Center’s employees and volunteers consistently demonstrate radical hospitality and a desire for continual improvement.
NEW (RE)HIRES: Make sure to welcome (back) Rose Russo, returning to the Kroc Krew in the Child Watch department. It’s great to have you back!
Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests! Here is a recent example:

Lifeguard Dean Moallemian went out of his way this week to let the aquatics team know that a member with special needs had come back to the Kroc to swim, so that everyone made sure to assign lap lanes to be accommodating to him when he was signed up.
