NEW OFFICER WELCOME: In addition to being back-to-school time for most kids, this is the first full week of work for our new pastors and administrators, Major Carol and Lieutenant Jack Huffman. We will have a brief meet & greet and devotional time with the Huffmans Monday morning at 9:00am, please join us if you are available (refreshments will be provided).
MAINTENANCE CLOSURES: As a reminder, the Aquatics Center and locker rooms are closed for maintenance August 23 through September 6, as we perform repairs and upgrades on the pool liner and filtration systems, resurface the waterslide, apply new coatings to locker room floors, and more. Please make sure we are communicating these changes to members by focusing on the benefits this work will provide them as they use the Kroc Center for years to come.
FALL 1 PROGRAM REGISTRATION: Registration is currently open for Fall 1 session roster programs for both members and non-members until Tuesday, September 7. Some popular programs are coming back including more music lessons, youth ballet classes, and more. As a reminder, our Active Families promotion continues through the end of the year — the Fall 1 and Fall 2 sessions will both feature many youth programs that are FREE for those with family memberships.

- CUSTOMER SERVICE FOCUS: SAFETY: We strive to provide emotional, mental, physical and spiritual safety for members/staff. This week we will focus on TAKING ACTION to always put safety first!
- SAFETY: We’ll cover a veritable cornucopia of topics this week – Do you know what to do if you are approached with questions by a member of the media? What about a hostage situation?
- CORE VALUE: We value all people as children of God. The Kroc Center intentionally strives to reflect and embrace the diverse population we serve.

- We appreciate the versatility of our bilingual employees – a member was thankful to be able to receive Teen Fit Permit training in Spanish from Margarita Gonzalez.
- Bram Roberts helped a member find her misplaced cell phone on the fitness floor – and had that good fortune repaid to him when the cleaning crew discovered his missing wedding ring!
- Pool supervisor Joe Bylsma showed his skills with a hacksaw when a member accidentally left the key to their lock inside the locker.
