First 5 – Week of October 10, 2022

DAY PASSES: Day pass sales are officially back! While we aren’t publicly promoting this for the first few weeks, you are welcome to let people know this is an option when asked. Please help make sure that anyone interested in purchasing day passes understands what is available within our schedules (there isn’t open swim every evening, etc.). Day passes are $12 for ages 12+, and $8 for 11 and under. See Jon’s email for a list of FAQ and other details.

KROC REFRIGERATOR: We just posted something new on the Kroc Refrigerator! The staff at Brookside Elementary School (located just behind the Kroc Center) have created a school supply wish list on Amazon. Members and guests can view the list by scanning the QR code (you can view the list online here). Items can be sent directly to the school or dropped off at the Welcome Desk. If anyone wants to shop in person, they can grab a card and then bring the item to the Welcome Desk (similar to Angel Tree).

LES MILLS LAUNCH PARTY: Join us on Saturday, October 15th from 9-11am as we launch new releases of Body Pump and Body Combat, and showcase other Les Mills classes such as Les Mills Grit, Sprint, and Core. Everyone who attends will be entered to win a door prize

FITNESS BINGO IS BACK: The Fitness team is launching another round of Fitness Bingo this week. This competition is designed to encourage members to take different drop-in group exercise classes and try a wider variety of equipment in hopes of finding new ways to reach their wellness goals. The challenge runs through the end of November, with prize drawings the week of December 5. Stop by the Fitness Desk starting Monday for more information.

MONSTER MASH: Halloween will be here soon and we’re getting excited  for the return of our annual Monster Mash event, scheduled for Friday, October 28 from 5–7 PM. If you have an organization you would like to invite to participate, please contact Jon Shaner for a sponsorship form. Help us spread the word by sharing the event on social media. Check it out here.

OPEN POSITIONS: Visit the Central Territory’s ADP Recruitment system for all job postings and to submit applications online. We appreciate you sharing opportunities with friends and family! Current openings include: Welcome Desk Lead; Pool Supervisor; Group Exercise Instructor; Fitness Attendant; Personal Trainer; Art Instructor; Swim Instructor; Lifeguard.

Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests! Here are some examples observed recently:

  • Jim Zoetewey minimized the amount of downtime for a computer in the facilities department
  • Lily Mattson picking up additional hours at the Welcome Desk to help the membership team as they actively look to hire more staff

Here are some of the upcoming events and groups at the Kroc Center:

  • UPrep Enrichment Classes: Tuesday/Thursday, 8:45-10:15am; Outdoor Fields
  • FAME: Tuesday, 12:45-2:45pm; WPAC, Fireside, Art Room
  • Lobos Soccer: Saturday 12:30-2:15pm; Outdoor Soccer Fields

Be sure to wish a Happy Birthday to our Kroc Krew colleagues:
