First 5 – Week of November 7, 2022

ELECTION DAY: This coming Tuesday, November 8, is Election Day, and we want to encourage all Kroc Krew members to exercise their right to vote. Polling locations are open from 7 AM to 8 PM, which should provide most employees an opportunity to vote before or after your shift. However, if necessary, you may coordinate with your supervisor time to be away from your role in order to vote (unpaid); or, if you are eligible for paid time off, any PTO request for the purposes of voting will be approved, in accordance with state/local law. Please speak with your supervisor or Melissa Roemer with any questions.

NEW CLIMBING WALL HOURS: The Climbing Wall is now open on Fridays from 5–7:30pm AND Saturdays from 1–3pm. Be sure to spread the word to our members and day pass users who are here on the weekend.

UPCOMING EAT EVENTS: Our friends on the EAT Committee are organizing a Thanksgiving meal for the staff on Thursday, November 17th. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and rolls will be provided. Each department will be in charge of different sides. An email will be sent out soon with a link to sign up. ALSO… save the date for Saturday, December 3 at 5PM for our Kroc Krew Christmas Party — additional details to come.

HOLIDAY HOURS: Speaking of Thanksgiving, the Kroc Center will be closed on Thursday, November 24th to observe the holiday. We’ll be open normal hours on Friday, November 25th.

TURKEY BURN OFF: Burn off those Thanksgiving calories with two hours of fitness on Saturday, November 26th from 9-11 AM! This event is free for members and non-members may purchase a day pass. Must be 16+ to participate, or have completed the Teen Fit Permit.
