First 5 – Week of November 14, 2022

PAYROLL: A few housekeeping items for employees and supervisors as we all learn to use the ADP system:

  • All missed punch forms should be turned in as soon as possible, so errors can be fixed right away. Please don’t hold onto them until payroll is due.
  • Any overtime needs to be approved by your supervisor (in advance, whenever possible).
  • All employees should approve their own timecard in MyADP BEFORE your supervisor approves it (another reason to correct missed punches as soon as you can).
  • Managers need to approve payroll by 9AM on the appropriate Monday. If you are responsible for payroll and will be gone for any reason, you should communicate to your supervisor (or HR) to have your team’s payroll approved.

NEW PROGRAM SESSION: Registration for Winter Session I programs opens on Monday. Check out the program guide at the Welcome Desk or online here. Registration will be open until Tuesday, December 20th.  Programs will begin on Monday, January 2nd.

KROC REFRIGERATOR: Please check the Kroc Refrigerator (our member bulletin board just past the main check-in gate) for information on the Angel Tree program, which blesses thousands of families in Kent County each Christmas with toys, gift cards, and more. As in past years, you’ll be able to select tags, shop for children, and drop gifts back off at the Welcome Desk.

UPCOMING EAT EVENTS: Our friends on the EAT Committee are organizing a Thanksgiving meal for the staff on Thursday, November 17th. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and rolls will be provided. Each department will be in charge of different sides. The sign up link can be found here. ALSO… save the date for Saturday, December 10th at 5PM for our Kroc Krew Christmas Party — additional details to come.

HOLIDAY HOURS: Speaking of Thanksgiving, the Kroc Center will be closed on Thursday, November 24th to observe the holiday. We’ll be open normal hours on Friday, November 25th.

OPEN POSITIONS: Visit the Central Territory’s ADP Recruitment system for all job postings and to submit applications online. We appreciate you sharing opportunities with friends and family! Current openings include: Welcome Desk Lead; Pool Supervisor; Group Exercise Instructor; Fitness Attendant; Personal Trainer; Art Instructor; Swim Instructor; Lifeguard.

Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests! Here are some examples observed recently:

  • The newly expanded programming with University Prep Academy is making a lot of happy kids!
  • Godai Judo was grateful for the positive experience in their Great Lakes Open tournament on Saturday.
  • The aquatics team stepped up to help Jessica run the department while she dealt with chaos last week, including a major mix-up regarding registrations from Wyoming Parks & Rec.
  • Rachel stepped up to open when a team member was out and teaching at the last minute.
  • Saturday crew worked so hard during a very busy day with the Judo tournament.
  • Heidi worked hard to add a Body Pump class at 6am on Fridays. This turned out to be a great idea since Body Pump is so popular with our members.
  • Ann Talen, an awesome Kroc member, recently became certified to teach Body Pump. She worked very hard to get ready to teach last week.
  • Steffhen continues to go above and beyond to make sure our members are happy. Nothing will stop him from providing excellent customer service!
