WHAT’S #YOURKROCSTORY? The deadline for the #YourKrocStory contest has been EXTENDED through March 15. All you have to do is record a short video about the impact the Kroc Center has had on your life and/or the community and send it to us via email, Facebook or Instagram message. The best videos will win a portion of $2,024 in gift cards – the three staff awards are slated to be $184 each! See GrKrocCenter.org/yourkrocstory for details.
ALL-STAFF MEETING: The next all-staff meeting will be on Sunday, March 10 at 4:30PM. A light meal will be provided following the meeting. We will be reviewing the updated employee dress code, spring break planning, and more. This meeting is considered mandatory, so you need to be excused by your supervisor if you are unable to attend.
CAMP KROC REGISTRATION: Camp Kroc registration is open as of Friday, March 1. Registration is handled like all other programs through the Kroc Center online member portal or mobile app; however, forms including scholarship applications, medical paperwork, etc. will be managed separately. Once again this year, immediate family members of Kroc Center employees will be eligible for a 50% discount. Please see Alyson Rodriguez to have the discount enabled on your account prior to registration. Pick up a camp guide at the Welcome Desk or GrKrocCenter.org/camp.
49507 FAMILY WELLNESS FAIR: Our entire community is invited to the Kroc Center this Saturday, March 9 from 12-4 PM for the 49507 Family Wellness Fair, in partnership with Seeds of Promise. This event is designed to connect neighbors with targeted resources to improve their health and address racial and socioeconomic disparities in the Grand Rapids area. We’ll have fitness demo classes, resident conversations, and 20+ vendor tables. Make sure to spread the word!
SPRING BREAK AHEAD: The planning process is underway for Spring Break, April 1-5. As usual for one of the busiest weeks of the year at the Kroc Center, we will be offering an array of additional activities for families to enjoy. Supervisors should be working on employee schedules as soon as possible; please be sure to provide as much availability as you can, as there may be opportunities to pick up additional hours.

Saturday was a very busy day at the Kroc Center, with a near-capacity open swim and a capacity drop-in clay class. Our whole Kroc Krew was firing on all cylinders!

Cori was a big help in getting the new session of swim lessons started and coordinating with all the instructors.

Multiple team members, including Ivy and Ronda, filled in at the last minute during Kroc Church Sunday morning.

Each week, members of the Kroc Center and Kroc Church submit a number of requests for prayer. We welcome these from everyone in our community, and encourage all our Kroc Krew to lift up these requests in your own way. Don’t forget that you are always welcome to attend devotions on Tuesday mornings at 9am in the Green Room; if you have a prayer request to share, you can post it on the board in the lobby, use the online form, or contact a member of the Kroc Church team.
