First 5 – Week of June 17, 2024

JUNETEENTH: As a reminder, Wednesday, June 19th is a divisional administrative holiday for Juneteenth. The Kroc Center will remain open with regular program schedules on this day.

BACKYARD BARBECUES: Each summer, the EAT Committee sponsors monthly backyard barbecues, with burgers/hot dogs and other treats for all employees. Mark your calendars for the first event on Thursday, June 20. We’ll have food during the day around noon, then also available in the evening for the closing shift.

“5-DAY CLUB” VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Kroc Church will be hosting a Bible school presented by Child Evangelism Fellowship next week (June 24-28) from 1:30-3:00pm daily. It is designed for kids ages 5-12 and preregistration is not required. Parents can drop kids off, or stay and observe the program as well. Please direct any questions to Captain Jack Huffman or Kevin Manning.

EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM: Now through the end of June, we are reinstating our employee referral bonus program — current Kroc Krew members can get $200 for referring someone new (assuming they are hired and work a minimum amount in their first 90 days). You must use the ADP portal to make the referral; please see Melissa Roemer if you have any questions.

REFER-A-FRIEND: Don’t forget that members can also receive a free month by recommending a friend to join the Kroc Center during the month of June. Spread the word! See the Welcome Desk or the membership page at GrKrocCenter.org for additional details.

OPEN POSITIONS: Visit the Central Territory’s ADP Recruitment system for all job postings and to submit applications online. We appreciate you sharing opportunities with friends and family! Current openings include: Fitness Attendant, Lifeguard, Youth Ministry and Mission Specialist, Building Supervisor (PT), Child Watch Attendant, Summer Day Camp Counselor (FT), Summer Day Camp Counselor (PT), Personal Trainer.

Each week, members of the Kroc Center and Kroc Church submit a number of requests for prayer. We welcome these from everyone in our community, and encourage all our Kroc Krew to lift up these requests in your own way. Don’t forget that you are always welcome to attend devotions on Tuesday mornings at 9am in the Green Room; if you have a prayer request to share, you can post it on the board in the lobby, use the online form, or contact a member of the Kroc Church team.
