First 5 – Week of August 26, 2024

ANNUAL MAINTENANCE WEEK: The Kroc Center is CLOSED from Monday, September 2 through Sunday, September 8 as we work to refresh everything the building. As we work to drain and scrub the pool, deep-clean fitness equipment, etc., there are often opportunities for employees to pick up extra hours in their own department or helping others. Most of these additional shifts are available in Sling — if you can’t see them, please talk to your supervisor or Melissa Roemer.

SPLASH PAD / SLIP AND SLIDE CLOSURE: As a reminder, along with the other maintenance activities, we’ll be closing down the giant slip & slide as well as the outdoor splash pad for the season over the Labor Day weekend.

BROOKSIDE TEACHER WISH LIST: With the start of the school year, we are trying to support our neighbors at Brookside Elementary by having members and staff purchase items for teachers off their Amazon wishlist. You can find that list at this link: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/21JVTOTT38P0E/ref=cm_go_nav_hz

MONSTER MASH: Our most popular event of the year is slated for Friday, October 25. Monster Mash is when we invite community partners to hand out candy and information to roughly 1,500 guests as they “trunk-or-treat” through the East parking lot. If you know a business or organization who would be interested in participating, please send contact information to Jon Shaner.

EMPLOYEE TRAININGS: Our divisional headquarters is becoming more strict with us about making sure all Kroc staff members receive and renew all their required trainings. There are a lot of employees who have CPR and/or Safe From Harm renewals overdue or coming due soon, so please be watching for notes from the HR department about these trainings!

OPEN POSITIONS: Visit the Central Territory’s ADP Recruitment system for all job postings and to submit applications online. We appreciate you sharing opportunities with friends and family! Current openings include: Fitness Attendant, Building Supervisor, Lifeguard, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor.

Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests!

Each week, members of the Kroc Center and Kroc Church submit a number of requests for prayer. We welcome these from everyone in our community, and encourage all our Kroc Krew to lift up these requests in your own way. Don’t forget that you are always welcome to attend devotions on Tuesday mornings at 9am in the Green Room; if you have a prayer request to share, you can post it on the board in the lobby, use the online form, or contact a member of the Kroc Church team.
