UNITED WAY STUFF THE BUS: Our friends from the Heart of West Michigan United Way will be using the Worship & Performing Arts Center to sort and distribute school supplies next Wednesday and Thursday, August 7-8. Some additional support may be needed from Kroc Krew members when they load/unload the bus(ses), so please be flexible and help out if needed!
AYSO REGISTRATION: There are only two weeks left for families to ensure a spot for their kids in our fall season of AYSO soccer. Programs are available for ages 4-13 at AYSO1634.org. Want to volunteer? Coaches and referees are still needed as well — please see Jessica Viau for more information.
BLOOD DRIVE AT THE KROC CENTER: On Wednesday, August 14 from 8:30am-1:00pm, we will be hosting a blood drive at the Kroc Center through a new partnership with Versiti. The goal is 23 donor appointments, with all donors receiving a custom tote bag. [UPDATE: Kroc Krew members who sign up will also get two day passes to give to friends or family!] Versiti says, “We are still struggling to maintain our blood supply this summer. Currently, Michigan collections are approximately 130 units short of the projected requirement. Despite these challenges, the demand for blood remains critical and ongoing. KROC BLOCK PARTY: Our annual end-of-summer event is only two weeks away! On Friday, August 16th from 5:30-8:30pm, we’ll have the giant slip & slide open to the public, plus demo fitness classes, community resource tables, and more. Please make sure to invite all your family and friends!
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE WEEK: The Kroc Center is CLOSED from Monday, September 2 through Sunday, September 8 as we work to refresh everything the building. As we work to drain and scrub the pool, deep-clean fitness equipment, etc., there are often opportunities for employees to pick up extra hours in their own department or helping others. Be on the lookout for notifications in Sling and from your supervisor about these opportunities.

Paul and Eddie both contributed extra hours over the weekend to help manage malfunctioning equipment to maintain balanced pool chemicals.

- Volleyball Group Rental: Tuesday, 7-8pm, Sand Volleyball Court
Each week, members of the Kroc Center and Kroc Church submit a number of requests for prayer. We welcome these from everyone in our community, and encourage all our Kroc Krew to lift up these requests in your own way. Don’t forget that you are always welcome to attend devotions on Tuesday mornings at 9am in the Green Room; if you have a prayer request to share, you can post it on the board in the lobby, use the online form, or contact a member of the Kroc Church team.
