NEW! We’re featuring a “Note from the Pastor” and Bible verse in the First Five each week from Captain Jack Huffman and the Kroc Church team. If you ever want to hear more about these topics, join us for Kroc Church Sunday mornings at 10am.

This week’s thoughts from Capt. Jack come from Exodus 3:1-15:

“How often in life do we stumble upon something that crosses out paths that causes us to stop and question whether or not we can handle it. It may be a sick person in your family that needs around the clock care. It may be a job that you decided to take on and now you are not feeling well equipped enough to endure the demands placed on you. It could even be a moment in time that God called you to a task that you found to be too overwhelming for you.

You are not alone, and believe it or not, these examples are not uncommon in our daily lives. We must remember that our lives are not our own as Christinas and when we shift our focus to whose we are, our situations in life suddenly become not so overwhelming and instead become manageable. One man in particular experienced one of these moments when he stumbled upon a burning bush.

Moses felt very unworthy and overwhelmed by what he experienced when he was called by God on Mount Horeb to go and speak to the Israelites. God reassured Moses with these 5 Words “I AM who I AM” I want to encourage you today that when you feel overwhelmed and maybe uncertain of your situation, remember that God is enough and He is always right there with you in those moments, He is more than enough.”
