AYSO REFEREES: AYSO is looking for referees for our spring season. This position is becoming a paid position by AYSO (details coming soon) and would be Saturday mornings starting the end of April and ending June 7th. You do not have to work every Saturday and most games end before noon. The training is free and at the Kroc Center on March 8th and lunch is provided. If you are interested, please contact Jessica Viau ASAP!

MORNING AQUATICS UPDATE: We’re implementing changes to our morning aquatics drop-in times to better serve our families and river walkers. Starting February 23rd, Tuesday River hours will be extended to 9am-12pm, while Wednesday riverwalk hours will be reduced to 9am-10am to accommodate Toddler Time.
Please familiarize yourself with these changes and be ready to communicate them to our members. If you have any questions or concerns, direct them to James or Jessica.

INCREASED BUILDING TRAFFIC: We are busier, reaching close to our pre-pandemic numbers for building entries. The lobby, fitness floor, and pool are particularly experiencing a lot of traffic. While this is great, a lot of staff have their hands tied to keep things in order. Please be ready to jump in and support where needed.
Go Team!

CAMP KROC EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT: Great news! We are offering a 50% discount on summer camp for the children of our staff, bringing the cost down to $97.50 per child per week. - Shout out to all staff for modeling healthy behavior and being champions of our members health.
- Shout out to Adriana (Front Desk) for helping to inform members that our pool hours don’t follow the school schedules. Educating families who came in looking to use the pool when it’s not open. Navigating that awkward exchange and helping members leave without being too upset.

Each week, members of the Kroc Center and Kroc Church submit a number of requests for prayer. We welcome these from everyone in our community, and encourage all our Kroc Krew to lift up these requests in your own way. Don’t forget that you are always welcome to attend devotions on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am in the Administration Foyer; if you have a prayer request to share, you can post it on the board in the lobby, use the online form, or contact a member of the Kroc Church team.
- Pray for our employees health during this cold and flu season.

Each week, we feature a “Note from the Pastor” and Bible verse from Captain Jack Huffman and the Kroc Church team. If you ever want to hear more about these topics, join us for Kroc Church Sunday mornings at 10am.
The Power of the tongue – James 3:2-10
Taming our tongue is one of the hardest struggles we face as Christians. According to James “no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.” He goes on to say that “Out of the same mouth comes praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be”
Our tongue, and the words that are spoken in our lives, can be used to build people up or tear people down, it can start a fire in your heart or put it out. How we speak to one another is up to us and how our words land on others has an impact on them whether good or bad.
The next time you speak, make sure that the words you use are edifying and encouraging to whomever it is you are speaking to. We are called as believers to love others as we would love ourselves. So, when you are ready to say something slow down, take breath, and ask yourself is what I am about to say something I would want someone to say to me. James reminds us of the power of the tongue so remember to use that power to love others the same way Christ loves us.

Here are some of the upcoming events and groups at the Kroc Center:
- Saturday, March 1 – Babysitter Training 8am–4pm.

Be sure to wish a Happy Birthday to our Kroc Krew colleagues:
- Tyler Stinton – 2/24
