KROC KREW DRESS CODE: As we continue to see an uptick in visitors, it’s important to remember that the way you present yourself is a representation of the Kroc Center and The Salvation Army. This goes beyond just clothing to include your body language, tone of voice, and much more. Here’s a few highlights from the Dress Code:

  • Name tags are to be worn at all times, except in areas where they may pose a safety risk.
  • In cold weather, Kroc fleece jackets may be worn over your uniform, or long sleeve shirts (plain black or white sleeves) can be worn under your uniform.
  • Any extreme in accessory or fragrance (including body odor, cigarette smoke, etc.)  is not permitted.
  • Clothing should not be overly tight or revealing, and should not display words or logos that may detract from the mission of The Salvation Army.

If you loved the highlights and can’t wait to know the rest, you can find the entire Kroc Krew Dress Code here!

We welcome these from everyone in our community, and encourage all our Kroc Krew to lift up these requests in your own way. Don’t forget that you are always welcome to attend devotions on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am in the Administration Foyer; if you have a prayer request to share, you can post it on the board in the lobby, use the online form, or contact a member of the Kroc Church team.

  • Safe travels for Major Carol & Captain Jack Huffman
  • “Please pray for my mom, her name is Kathleen. We just lost my grandma to dementia and my mom and I were the ones who took care of her. Pray for my grandpa up in heaven peacefully.” – Anon

Each week, we feature a “Note from the Pastor” and Bible verse from Captain Jack Huffman and the Kroc Church team. If you ever want to hear more about these topics, join us for Kroc Church Sunday mornings at 10am.

Special Guest Note From The Pastor – Major Pat Irvin

I was reading an article the other day that talked about the current state of the church.  This article included the results of a survey that was conducted with churched and non-churched people.  You may not be surprised to learn that most people in the church think church is the most significant influence in their lives.  On the other hand, the non-churched feel just the opposite; in fact, they really do not give church much thought at all. There are many reasons we might think of as to why this is so.  If somebody asked you why church was so important to you, how would you respond?

In Luke 21, Jesus is sitting with his disciples at the temple talking together and watching people bring their tithes and offerings to the priest.  They are discussing the wonderful qualities of their church, but Jesus reminds them their church in and of itself is only a building, and that as their future and ours becomes more uncertain, troubled, and chaotic, we are to remain spiritually alert.

Jesus connects the idea of church with the state of our own hearts – are we distracted by the culture around us?  Have we become burdened with the worries of life? His message to His disciples and for us today is the same: be watchful!  Watch for those things that make us too weary for the battle and to pray for the strength only He can give to remain faithful to Him each and every day.

Here are some of the upcoming events and groups at the Kroc Center:
