MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: As a reminder, the Friday of Memorial Day weekend (May 23) is an administrative holiday (Kroc Center remains open). The Kroc Center will be CLOSED on Monday, May 26.

GRPS SWIM LESSONS – AQUATICS SCHEDULE CHANGE: Just another reminder that the pool, hot tub, and other aquatic facilities will be closing at noon due to Grand Rapids Public School swim lessons. These changes will run through June 7th. The pool will resume its regular schedule at 4 PM each day. To ensure a smooth transition for the students and to minimize congestion, we kindly ask that members who typically visit between 11:00 AM and 11:55 AM use the men’s and women’s locker rooms as much as possible. This will help avoid overcrowding in the family locker room cabanas, which will close at 11:30 AM.

NO CHECKS: Please remember no checks will be written until May 6 as we transition to new accounting software.

OPEN POSITIONS: Visit the Central Territory’s ADP Recruitment system for all job postings and to submit applications online. We appreciate you sharing opportunities with friends and family!

Each week, members of the Kroc Center and Kroc Church submit a number of requests for prayer. We welcome these from everyone in our community, and encourage all our Kroc Krew to lift up these requests in your own way. Don’t forget that you are always welcome to attend devotions on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am in the Administration Foyer; if you have a prayer request to share, you can post it on the board in the lobby, use the online form, or contact a member of the Kroc Church team.

  • Prayers for safety during the GRPS swimming lessons

Each week, we feature a “Note from the Pastor” and Bible verse from Captain Jack Huffman and the Kroc Church team. If you ever want to hear more about these topics, join us for Kroc Church Sunday mornings at 10am.

The Privilege, The Power, And The Purpose
Luke 2:41-51

In Luke 2:49, twelve-year-old Jesus declared, “Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” Even at such a young age, He understood His divine identity and mission. His earthly parents couldn’t fully grasp it—but in that simple statement, He revealed the purpose that would shape all of history: He came as the Son of God, to do the Father’s will, to die, rise, ascend, and ultimately return to reign forever.

Jesus is not merely a teacher or prophet. He is one with the Father—in nature, power, and purpose. His resurrection declared Him the Son of God with power (Romans 1:4). His cross revealed divine redemption. His ascension affirmed His lordship. And one day soon, He will return—not in weakness, but in glory—to judge the world, crush all opposition, and establish His eternal kingdom.

Let us worship Him with full hearts—acknowledging that He is our Savior, our Redeemer, our King. The child in the temple is the risen Lord of heaven, and He will return in glory. May we live in light of His identity and mission, honoring the Son and trusting fully in His coming reign.
