✝️ Note from the Pastor
2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
David was never too ashamed or too scared to cry out to God the Father in his times of distress and sorrow. In fact, David made it a regular practice to cry out to God in the most frustrating and chaotic times in his life. He was not afraid to share his most intimate and weak moments with God in the hopes that not only would God hear him, but that He would also rescue him.
In today’s world, there is no doubt that we too, just like David, need to be bold enough to approach the throne room of God and share our woes with Him. Just like David in all his faults and failures, we too can come to the throne room with our imperfections—expectantly calling on God to not only hear us but to restore us.
Psalm 18:6 assures us that God hears us:
“In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.”
And then in Psalm 19 He rescues us:
“He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.”
Today, be bold like David; don’t shrink back from trusting in God the Father to hear your cries and rescue you from whatever it is that you may be facing.
