🙌 Missional Moment
Late 1800s, London.
After a street meeting, the little hall was finally empty. The preaching was done, the singing was done—now the room showed what the crowd had left behind: muddy footprints, spilled tea, a sour smell in the corner where a man had been sick.
A young Salvationist didn’t wait for instructions. He filled a bucket, found a rag, and tore an old towel in half. No one was watching. No one was clapping. He scrubbed the floor on his knees, wiped down the benches, and carried the mess outside into the cold.
When the officer returned and saw him, he whispered, “You could’ve gone home.”
The young man kept working and said, “People will be back tomorrow. Let it be ready.”
That’s the quiet genius that marked The Salvation Army from the beginning: preaching Christ—and then doing the low work that protects dignity in the very places where the poor and forgotten were welcomed.
✝️ Note from the Pastor
Growing in Faith – Matthew 14:22-32
In Matthew 14:22-32, we find Peter stepping out of the boat to walk on water toward Jesus. His faith wavered when he focused on the storm, but Jesus was there to lift him up. This story reminds us that faith grows when we step out, even in uncertainty, trusting Jesus to steady us.
As we navigate the storms of life, let’s fix our eyes on Christ. Whether you are taking small steps or bold leaps of faith, know that God is with you. When doubt creeps in, remember His hand is always outstretched, ready to guide and sustain you.
This week, I challenge you to take one step of faith. It could be reaching out to someone in need, praying boldly for a breakthrough, or simply trusting God in a difficult situation. Let’s continue growing together as a church, stepping forward with courage and trust in our faithful Savior.

🙏 Prayer Requests
- Pray for the safety of our members, guests, and staff during winter weather—especially on sidewalks, parking areas, and entryways.
- Pray for Camp Kroc registration season—that families would find the right fit, and that our staff would have wisdom, energy, and unity as we prepare for a strong summer.
- Pray that every person who walks through our doors this week would feel welcomed and cared for, and that our team would reflect Christ through patience, excellence, and kindness.
