First 5 – Week of March 18, 2019

Busy Times Ahead! The Kroc Center is going to be very well-used over the next couple of weeks. Until further notice, all Kroc Krew members should be parking in the East (back) parking lot, with the exception of any 5:30am opening staff. Thank you for your cooperation as we give our guests the best service possible!

Spring Break Activity Guide: Did you know that Spring Break accounts for about 10% of the Kroc Center’s day pass sales for the entire year? Our week of bounce houses, open swim, special activities, and more is only TWO weeks away! The Spring Break activity guide is now available at GrKrocCenter.org/springbreak – make sure to check it out and help spread the word.

Additional Spring Break Opportunities: If you or someone you know may be interested in volunteering during Spring Break, there are opportunities in the following areas:

Climbing Wall Support
Art Room Support
WPAC/Bounce House Additional Support

Please contact Bram Roberts for more information.

Church at the Kroc: You only have two more weeks for the spring to take advantage of Meetup Mondays! March 25 will be the last dinner for the season. Meetup Monday will then return in the fall. Also, you are invited to take part in the Lenten sermon series, “Jesus the King,” Sunday mornings at 10am. Easter morning (April 21) will feature a SONrise service at 8am, breakfast at 8:30am, an Easter egg hunt at 9am, and the regular worship at 10am.

Spring Programs: The Spring/Summer program guide has arrived at the Kroc Center! It is also online and registration is open. Feel free to encourage everyone to sign up today! The early-bird deadline is Tuesday, April 9.

Send an email to RJ Kroc if you see someone going above and beyond for our guests! Here are some examples from the past week:

  • “Dannielle and Jeremiah (fitness attendant) showed great care and concern for a member who wasn’t feeling well. They brought her water and ice. Jeremiah even walked her to her car to make sure she was okay.”
