First 5 – Week of July 25, 2022

VOLLEYBALL CAMP: In addition to our regular day camp, Volleyball Camp will run this week, Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm. Check-in/out will be in the lobby near the climbing wall. The gym will both be closed during this time, so Senior Fit will be moved to the WPAC.

FALL PROGRAMS: The Fall 1 program guide is now available at the Welcome Desk and online at GrKrocCenter.org. Registration opens next Monday, August 1.

NEW REC GUIDE: The Summer 2 Rec Guide is now available at the Welcome Desk and online at GrKrocCenter.org. There are a few changes to the previous schedule, so please make you’re familiar with this new version.

NEW HIRE: Kevin Manning has been hired to fill the role of Ministry & Mission Engagement Coordinator. You may remember this position as having been called the Spiritual Life Coordinator when Matt Aho was in the role. Kevin is a U.S. Army veteran whose experience included a deployment to Afghanistan; in civilian life, he has held a variety of jobs mostly around the music industry – repairing and selling instruments, leading worship at local churches, and more. He graduated with a degree in Music and English from Jacksonville State University in Alabama, not far from his original home of Rome, Georgia. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys music along with outdoor activities like cycling and camping.

Please join us in welcoming Kevin to the Kroc Center along with his wife, Alicia (also an Army veteran), and their two children, Danielle (6) and Luke (2). His first day at the Kroc will be Monday, July 25.

BACKYARD BBQ:  The last Backyard BBQ of the summer will be Thursday, August 18th from 12-1pm. Thanks to our friends on the EAT Committee for organizing these summer events.
